Praetorius becomes part of Logos Group

The Logos Group has acquired a majority shareholding in the UK translation company Praetorius Limited, which in turn controls the US company Praetorius North America Inc. Logos expects this move to considerably strengthen its presence in the British and American markets.

Praetorius Limited was established in 1982, and soon became one of the leading players on the UK translation scene. Its traditional strengths are in the automotive, pharmaceutics and information technology sectors, but more recently it has been expanding into new fields such as Web site translation. Praetorius Limited has ISO 9002 quality assurance certification, and its chairman, Geoffrey Kingscott, is a recognized expert on translation quality evaluation.


During the month of September Praetorius staff from both the UK and US offices were in Modena training on several Logos systems, and from October 1, 2001, the Praetorius operations will be fully integrated with Logos.
