www.multilingual.com 06/03/2002
The Logos Children's Dictionary, a multilingual resource made available on the
Internet by the Logos Group, is now available in 120 languages, including
Frisian, Dutch, Limburgisch and all the principal European languages, plus
Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and a number of regional languages such as Catalan,
Basque, Breton, Occitan, Sardinian, Friulian, Galician, Venetian and many
others.
In addition to the translation of individual words, users of the Children's
Dictionary can also see the object illustrated and read a definition; in some
cases they can also hear the pronunciation with special audio files.
Each language is accessed through a national flag.
The Children's Dictionary was derived from the Logos Living Dictionary, with
more than nine million words in over 200 languages.
